본 프로젝트는 ‘양남시장 정비사업’의 일환으로 진행중인 프로젝트로, 기본설계 후 저층부(지하4~지상2층) 설계 최적화와 외관 특화설계에 대한 ‘특화설계’로 진행되었다. 공공의 목적에 부합하면서 주변 지역의 랜드마크가 되는 것을 목표로, 대지에 가장 최적화된 저층부 공간 및 매스를 디자인하고 보다 차별화된 외관디자인이 진행되었다.

사방으로 개방된 2층부를 감싸는 루버형 패널은 외부의 빛을 스크린하고 내부공간의 투명성을 적절히 조정해준다. 또한 오랜 전통의 양남시장 재개발이 갖는 상징적인 모습을 거리의 eye-level에서 체감할 수 있도록, 보는 각도에 따라 다른 모습을 갖도록 디자인 되었다.

This project is underway as part of the Yangnam Market Re-Development Project. As a part of Schematic design, the design was specialized for the low-level part (B4f ~ 2nd floor) design optimization and exterior special design. Aiming to become a landmark of the surrounding area while meeting the public purpose, the low-level space and mass optimized for the site were designed and a more differentiated exterior design was developed.

The louver-shaped steel panel that surrounds the two-layered openings in all directions screens the outside light and adjusts the transparency of the interior space accordingly. In addition, it is designed to have a different appearance according to the viewing angle so that the symbolic shape of the long-standing Yangnam Market redevelopment can be felt at the eye-level of the street.
